here is a VERY small recap of our summer.

I had my nieces for a week in June for VBS. We always have so much fun and try to keep very busy.

Lauren went to her first overnight camp. She stayed three nights and had a blast. These are her two councilors. One was local but the other was from Egypt.

We made it to touch-a-truck again this year. the kids always have fun but it is SO loud!

the rest of the photos are from our recent trip to Colorado. They aren't in the order we did things but that is okay.

we took a wonderful, scenic train ride. Colin loved it all!!

we also did alpine slides. I rode with Colin and he squealed with joy the entire trip.

we also went to a very cool water park. Lauren went down the slide more times then I could count. She mainly went by herself and would lug her inner tube up to the top each time.

We went to the top of some mountain that had said scenic lookout. I don't usually stop for things like that but was feeling touristy (I'm sure that is a word) I'm glad we stopped because it was beautiful once we made it to the top.

it has been so many months since I've updated my blog that I thought I would put some highlights. I'm starting with the most recent.

Lauren's dance recital is Saturday and Sunday so tonight was the dress rehearsal.

Friday was Lauren's jog-a-thon. She ran 8 laps. Way to go!!

Lauren has been in soccer for the past month. She has been doing so much better. One game she scored 6 goals.

we went to Mexico in April with Aaron's family. It was a wonderful trip and I would really like to go back. these are just a very few of the over 400 pictures I took.

Lauren loved the strawberry drink. I loved that it was all inclusive.

Some January Layouts

I have been really bad about updating my blog but wanted to post my layouts from January. I know it's late but wanted to catch everyone up. Enjoy!!

Weekend Projects

Aaron had to work on Saturday so I had some time to finish a few random layouts from last year that didn't get finished. I did go through my photos from last year and compared them to layouts and only found about four that need to be done and then I can send 2009 off to get printed. This will be the first year that I did the entire thing digital from the start.

Colin's job

Colin was in my room this morning watching TV before I was ready to go downstairs and he started making my bed. He pulled the sheet and comforter up and then put all the pillows on by himself. He was so proud of himself that I just left it. It wasn't perfect but he was trying to help.

This Week

I still haven't finished my scrapbook of last year but thought I should post something so here are some pictures from our week. Sorry if you already saw them on Facebook.

It was beautiful yesterday and the kids really wanted to blow bubbles so we did.

Mimi and Papa brought this dress back from Mexico. It was international night at AWANA so Lauren was able to wear it.

Christmas - Still??

I really wanted to have 2009 done by Lauren's birthday but didn't make it. I'm still a few layouts short and continue to work on them. As much as I love Christmas when it is done I'm very ready to be done so sometimes doing those layouts this late is hard for me. I only have our house left and then just a few odd ones.

Getting Baptized

It has been a very long time since I have posted and my little girl is now 7 but I will get pictures of that up here soon. I wanted to share pictures from her baptism this past Sunday. Lauren has been asking about getting baptized for about a year but we wanted to make sure she understood what it meant before allowing her. My father did the honor and Lauren was thrilled.

A Lazy Saturday

We had a very lazy Saturday so I was able to get a few more layouts done from 2009 and one from 2010. I realize I really need to change my background on my blog and my header. I will work on that soon. I love Christmas but when it is done I'm ready to move on. Enjoy the layouts there are more coming.
