Jog-A-Thon
Lauren is having a jog-a-thon for her school. If she raises $30 she gets a school t-shirt that only cost me $8 at the beginning of the year. (to funny) If she raises $60 she gets the t-shirt and a special lunch with the principal and she thinks that would be very cool. I think it's funny that she thinks that is cool. Anyway on to why I was posting. We went for our second practice jog tonight and she did great. Tonight her and I jogged and Aaron and Colin followed in the stroller in case she got tired. She ran for quite a bit and finally took a ride for the rest of the way home. She is totally loving our practice jogs and is very excited about the real thing. She will be "jogging" next Friday so please send her an encouraging note and I will pass it on. Sorry no pictures for this post.

Weekend Layouts
Yesterday Lauren went with my parents to Alyssa and Aubrey's dance recital. She loves to get all dressed up. I fixed her hair very special. For anyone that has seen or touched Lauren's hair you should be impressed. I'm hoping this will work for Lindsey's wedding.
We have been loving our backyard fire pit. The kids love s'mores.
I love warm, sunny nights. We have been able to enjoy quite a few this month. Yeah for more to come.

Birthday Boy - Late
I'm still playing catch up but I wanted to post my layout of my little man's birthday. It is still hard to believe that my baby is three.

My Birthday
Today is my birthday and I am celebrating with my husband on a cruise. Today we are in Encinada, Mexico. It is a short cruise, just three nights. Since I am writing this on Wednesday I can only assume that I am having a wonderful time. Thanks again to the grandparents for keeping the kiddos. This is a great way to celebrate my day.

A Little Late
It took me awhile to create my spring break layout and it's not even very exciting but at least it is done. We had a great spring break even though Daddy was gone the entire week. Having so much planned helped to keep us busy.

Missing Tooth
Lauren lost her first tooth today. Unfortunately it was during snack so she also lost the tooth. She was thrilled to have lost her first tooth. I was a little bummed not to have the tooth but will be okay.
On a different note if you seach on google for crazy hat day my blog comes up second on the list. I'm not sure if that's cool but maybe.

Success and Sun
Today Lindsey came down and Cheryl came up and we all met Mom and Grandma at David's Bridal. Our goal was to find Lindsey her dress and we did. It is beautiful. I can tell you that it is white, has some beads and comes to the floor. There will be no pictures posted until after the wedding. She looks beautiful in it. After shopping Grandma treated us girls to a lunch at the Olive Garden. It was a great morning with just the grown-up girls.
When I got home everyone was outside enjoying our beautiful day. The kids had made a rock volcano
Lauren was working very hard on jumping rope and doing a pretty good job.
Colin's birthday is officially tomorrow but we aren't having his party until next weekend and Mark and Jen won't be here so we celebrated tonight. Jen made us all a wonderful meal that ended with brownies and ice cream. Thanks again guys.
They got Colin his very own ambulance, which he loved. This picture is of Colin waiting "patiently" for Jen to open it for him. He loves it and is sleeping with it as I am posting.

Turkey Time
We had dinner at my in-laws house tonight and after dinner the wild turkeys came out to eat. Michael has a bird feeder and the turkeys like to clean up after the birds. My kids were fascinated with the huge birds and sat very quiet while they watched them.
Papa showed Lauren how to get the turkeys to gobble. I thought this was very funny.

Falling Behind
I feel like I have totally fallen behind on my blog postings. I've been doing a few other things this past week. Monday Lauren and I headed up to see Lindsey and get this wedding planning going. Thanks again Jen and Dad for keeping Colin. Lindsey and I got a ton accomplished. The venue is picked, the flower girl dresses ordered and arrived, the bridesmaid dress pattern and material picked and all of us have started looking into lots of other details. It seems like so long ago that I planned my own wedding and with it being only 3 months after Cheryl's it was a little bit overwhelming for everyone. Lindsey's engagement is short but the planning will be fun and fast. Here is a picture of the colors she is thinking of using. The venue is an outdoor historic garden so the colors will be nice in an outdoor, summer wedding.
The flower girl dresses are the flowered material and the bridesmaid is the solid blue and then she wants to accent with the rest. I think it will be very pretty.
