Little Fish

I tried to make this post tomorrow morning but messed up so there are two posts for today.

As promised I took videos of my little fish Wednesday night at swimming lessons. These were all taken in the deep end. She did amazing.

A Year of Being Out Here

Today is my one year anniversary for my blog. I really didn't think I would last this long. I had been enjoying some friends blogs and thought I would give it a try. I have totally enjoyed documenting my life and everyone that is a part of my life. It has turned into my on line scrapbook and is so full of memories. I love to go back and just look at my older posts. For all of you faithful blogging friends, thank you. I enjoy reading all the comments. It's so nice to know that someone other then me looks at my blog. I hope you have enjoyed my blog as much as me and I hope I will still be posting in another year. If you haven't left a comment today could be your turn to try, just click on comments below.

Memorial Weekend

WOW!!! What a great weekend. Our weather was so nice that it is definitely feeling like summer. I'm hoping it lasts. On Saturday we went to our local gym for free guests day so we could take the kids swimming. I missed the last lesson and wanted to see Lauren's new trick. She uses the kick board to swim all the way to the deep end and then will jump in with no life jacket and pop back up and swim to the wall. This is a HUGE improvement over a few months ago. She is gaining confidence with each lesson and it is wonderful to see. Colin was jumping to Aaron without holding onto his hands. I'm thinking I will probably try him in some lessons this summer and see how things go. I will try to get some pictures or video tomorrow at lessons. We went to Costco Saturday evening and for a dollar that went to CMN Lauren got her face painted. She loves to donate money for the babies and has even used her own dollar to buy a balloon.

Sunday was church and then Lindsey and I attempted wedding shoe shopping without any success. White sandals are hard to find.
Monday was so beautiful and such a nice time. We had a wonderful BBQ at my in-laws with Aaron's cousins, spouses, and kids. I forgot to include this picture of Colin in my layout. He has dropped his nap but woke up a little after 6:00 for two days in a row so he was tired. He got a nice hour nap in the morning and was in a way better mood.

Beautiful Girl

On Wednesday we had dance pictures. Us parents took our own and there was a professional photographer also. I took these and for anyone who has tried to take Lauren's picture you can appreciate what a great shot this is. Lauren is a beautiful girl but very hard to photograph (even though she has had a ton taken). We have enjoyed dance but I am ready for a break. Only a few more weeks.

Recital Time and Stuff

We started our day with yard work. We are having almost 30 people over for a BBQ tomorrow and needed to get some work done. The weather was amazing. I planted two deck containers. We got some new Rosemary trees and then color spots. I think they look nice and smell great.

Lauren's dance recital was today and tomorrow and she did great. We weren't allowed any photography today but I had some video from the rehearsal on Thursday. Her outfit is beautiful. The thing I love about her dance studio is it's all about praising Jesus. The music is Christian, the outfits tasteful, and the dancing appropriate. It is beautiful to watch.

Amanda is in a tap and tumbling class. Aren't they cute.

Lauren's partner is at least a year younger and needed a little help but did much better today.

We had our first dinner outside tonight and Mimi and Papa were able to join us. The weather was in the 80's today and beautiful.

Then headed to Cold Stone for a special treat. It was a GREAT day.

The kids shared a bowl of cotton candy ice cream with M&M's. Doesn't that sound yummy?? NOT!!

Measuring Life

We had such a wonderful dinner with my mom the other night (Dad was at a meeting). The kids were having a blast with Papa's tape measures. I was having a nice time watching them. This is one of those pages that I would never scrap except that I have a blog and love to share. Yeah for the blog.

While We Were Gone...

My parents and in-laws were so kind to take pictures of my kids while Aaron and I were on our cruise. I loved seeing what they had done. Thanks again.

A Nice Evening

We were outside enjoying a beautiful evening and I of course brought my camera out. The kids were having so much fun on their bikes. We then played with the t-ball set and Velcro ball thing again tonight. It's great to have things to play with the kids. Thanks again David and Lindsey.
I caught a rare moment when my kids were together and would look at the camera. There are very few of these.

Aaron and I were getting a kick out of Colin's laugh every time he would go by us. So cute.

Jog-a-thon and T-Ball

Last night we got out Colin's new t-ball set that he got from Lindsey and David for his birthday. He was so cute and had a great time.

Today was THE jog-a-thon. Lauren did great. Her goal was 5 laps and she made it 7. She raised her $60 so she can have lunch with the principal.

Cruise Layouts

I finally got our cruise layouts done. I like how they turned out. We really did have a wonderful time. I think the next cruise will be with the kids.

Swinging (from a tree)

We were at my in-laws for dinner tonight so we were able to see the swing that Michael had made for the kids. Lauren has been talking about this swing since he made it for them while Aaron and I were on our cruise. Lauren loves to go very high. Colin needs so help but loved riding with me. It was hard to hold on with him and I was getting dizzy. I'm not sure how Lauren handles it the way she does. She just keeps asking for more. Thanks again for the great swing.

She really does like to go HIGH!!

My turn with Colin, not as high.

Birthday Girl

Today is my Mom's birthday and the kids wanted to send her a message. Enjoy!!!
