Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

After all my daily posts I took a break with all the business around Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to 2010. I will post some more layouts soon.

Caught Up!!!

I really wanted to get my layouts all caught up before Christmas Eve and the craziness starts. Aaron did a little last minute grocery shopping tonight so I had the perfect chance to get caught up. None of them are super impressive layouts but when you are doing so many I'm just happy to have them done. Please note the last one is doctored so that certain people can't see the pictures.

Sunday

Sunday was a busy wonderful day. We had the kids program in the morning and Alyssa's party in the afternoon.

Aaron is at a movie tonight so I was able to get a few more layouts done. Last year I was so good about doing my layout every night. This year not so good but I am still doing them. I'm still having a hard time with the fact the Christmas is Friday - WOW how did that happen. Enjoy these two days and I hope to have the rest done soon.

I finally got the last four days done. It has been a busy week so it was hard to find time to do my layouts but they are done. I can't believe Christmas is one week away. WOW!!!!!

I have this great video of Lauren but it is really long and I tried to let blogger run all night and it still didn't finish my video. I will see if I can figure out how to edit some of it to show you all. It is so cute.

Staying Home

The weather required us to stay home tonight so I was able to catch up on my layouts. I'm even done with today. It may seem like a lot of work but it really is fun and I love that I take the time to do it. I know next year I will be glad it was done.

Days 7, 8 and 9

I had a little time to myself this evening so I was able to get a few layouts done. I'm still missing today but I will get that done soon. Enjoy these three days. Really hoping tomorrow is warmer. Right now 40 degrees sounds like a heat wave.

Special Ornaments

I am trying to come up with some different posts then last year. As the children were picking out their ornaments this year I thought how much I enjoy so of our special ornaments and wanted to share those with all of you. Enjoy.

Grandparents & Centerpieces

First let me announce that this is my 300th post. WOW!!! I know I didn't post yesterday but Aaron and I went on a date (thanks again parents). We saw Blind Side - great movie.
Our last two days have been great and so much fun to capture. When I got to school on Friday I was already with my camera and then realized I had to card. I ran home to get a card so I could get some great shots of Colin and Papa Michael. Glad I live close to school. Enjoy and I hope to bring you something fun for tomorrow.

A Very Cold Start to Day 3

Had this done last night but then I forgot to post it. We were busy watching a great football game and wrapping Christmas presents. Enjoy day 3 and stay tune for day 4.

Day Two Post

I realize it is already day three and I'm a little late posting day 2 but that is just how things work when you are sick and need some sleep. I finished decorating the house this morning but took pictures to document yesterday. I think what I like best about this project is that it forces me to slow down and document what is going on in this very BUSY time of year. I encourage all of you to slow down and take some time to look around you. You don't need to do a scrapbook page for each day but a few pictures will be a nice reminder of what you and your family were doing.

December 1st - day one

For those of you who have been visiting my blog for more then a year you may remember that I posted one layout a day for the month of December. I love it last year and really want to try to do it again this year. Well it is day one so here is my layout. I will admit that we didn't put the tree up today but they are my layouts so I make the rules and I say I don't have to do the event on the day I just get to pick something each day to highlight. Please check in daily to see what my family is up to this holiday season. For those of you joining in this fun I look forward to seeing what you and your family are doing.

Getting Caught Up

I'm trying to get all layouts caught up by the end of November because I want to do my December daily layouts and doing one a day is more then enough to try to stay up with I don't want to have others that need to be done. I really want 2009 done before the middle of January. That would be the earliest I have ever finished a year. I still have to finish the last two years. Digital is so much faster.
I still hadn't done any layouts from David and Lindsey's wedding. These pictures only highlight the day but it captures some of my favorites. Now I just have to do the last few layouts that will happen in November and I will be ready for December. What a great feeling.

Disneyland Layouts

I finished my Disneyland layouts and even though some of the pictures had been posted I wanted to post the finished product. My big challenge was paper and accessories. I didn't have either and didn't really want to buy it so I found some stuff for free and made my own paper. I think they turned out okay.

Fall Layouts

I did a few fall layouts from the pictures we took last week. I had fun making my own background and playing with fall colors. Fun to be creative.

Fall Foliage

I love fall and I really love fall pictures. They seem to always end up being some of my favorites. We tried on Sunday to get a family picture but wasn't thrilled with the outcome so we tried again today. It sounds like with the weather coming that today was our last chance so we met Aaron in a park and did our best before it got dark.

I love this one. My kids never cooperate so it was rare that when I asked them to hold hands and walk they did. I took full advantage of this opportunity.

Had to get a few of Lauren and her Daddy.

We kept trying to count to three and then have them throw their leaves together but never seemed to get that quite right but we got a lot of fun shots in the process. This was one of my favorites.

Between Sunday and today I took over 100 pictures. I won't keep them all but as I said I love fall pictures. Don't act to surprised if you see any of these on our Christmas cards.

Halloween Day

I received my blocks today that I had ordered using all my diaper points and the kids love them. They have been playing upstairs all evening so I could get some work done. I looked the blocks up on-line and they retail for $60. I only had to save Pamper points for 3 1/2 years but I can say I got them for free.
Had fun with these layouts. The kids seem to always cooperate for Halloween pictures. The threat of no candy works.

The Days Before

I'm not quite caught up but wanted to post what I had finished. Friday was a crazy busy day but so much fun. I spent the entire first part of the day at my kids schools doing Halloween parties. Lauren had her first slumber party that evening and stayed up until 12:30 and woke back up at 7:30. She took no nap but was in a good mood all day except while I was making her lie down.

My dad watched Colin for me again so I could head to Lauren's class. I was home for about 20 minutes just to eat lunch.

Thursday we went to a local farm for a fun field trip. My dad stayed with Colin. They had lots of good times this week.

I also wanted to do one soccer layout for Lauren. She had such a great time playing and I think she will do it again in the spring.

Soccer, Golf, and Pumpkins

Well I haven't posted in a few days so I thought some pictures were better then nothing. I'm working on layouts but that will take a few more days. So this is what there is.

Sunday was Lauren's last soccer game of the season. She had a great time. She never scored but did learn a lot. She is already looking forward to the spring.

They had a great coach, that made the season fun for the girls.

Since Lauren had never played she didn't know you got a trophy so she was pleasantly surprised. She said she definitely want to play again if she can get another trophy.

Yesterday we went golfing with Lauren's Daisy troop. It was so fun to watch them play.

Colin got to come along and had an interesting way of golfing but also a lot of fun.

Tonight was pumpkin carving. Colin wanted a happy face and Lauren designed her own. She had a picture and then added some stuff.
