Number 200 (1)

My post from last night was technically my 200th post but I didn't want to take away from our great news. We are having a wonderful, busy Spring break. I promise to get some layouts done soon for all to see. Yeah for blogging. I love feeling connected to all my friends and family. Thank you for all that leave me comments and for those of you who are faithful readers. I love my blog.

Had to post this great picture of my son. This was yesterday morning. He does love a chocolate donut.

Happy Spring

I tried again yesterday for some great shots with the daffodils but didn't end up with anything. Maybe next week. I still did a layout because I love this new paper I got and it is the first day of spring.

My dad came in yesterday and had lunch with me and the kids. Colin loves to get a hold of Papa's hat and put it on. He thinks he is very funny. We had a great time with Papa. Thanks again.

Flowers

I have had my eye on these daffodils for a few years now. They are by Lauren's school so today I parked and made the girls get out for a few pictures. Nothing was great so I'm going to try again tomorrow. I love spring and have enjoyed our beautiful day.

A Very Green Day

Lauren loved all parts of today. She thought wearing green was so much fun. We all had our green on today. Colin never says anything about what he wears unless it has a truck on it so he didn't care if his shirt was green. I will admit that other then our clothes we didn't do anything else to celebrate St. Patrick's Day but we still had a great time wearing our green.

Colin has stayed dry for two days now. Yeah!!!

Picture Day

Friday was spring picture day at Lauren's school. Before we left for school she let me take a few pictures of her. I was playing with some new templates. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Happy Anniversary to Cheryl and Lonnie. Wow 11 years. Enjoy the day.

Helicopters

We had dinner at my in-laws house on Saturday. After dinner Papa made the kids helicopters out of paper and would drop them from the third story through the hole to the kids. They would catch them and then race back up to give them to Papa. This went on for quite awhile. Such simple things and the kids loved it. Thanks Papa.

I haven't said anything about potty training in awhile and that is mainly because we (Colin) haven't progressed. I think we have tried all kinds of things to motivate him and nothing works. Aaron's most recent idea was to take away his TV privilege if he goes potty in his undies. Well the last two days we've had no TV and he seems to be adjusting just fine but not overly upset about the change. Tonight Aaron bought a Lightning McQueen car that is full of bubble bath. The deal is if he goes poop on the toilet he gets a bubble bath. I guess we will just wait and see. I knew I was blessed when potty training Lauren but I didn't realize just how much. I'm not enjoying this at all. Thanks for letting me vent.

Swimming Again

Lauren started another round of swimming lessons tonight. She was acting like she didn't know how to swim until I informed the teacher she really did know what she was doing. She seemed to enjoy herself and is looking forward to going again.

Dr. Seuss Week

I know for those of you who tune into my blog have seen most of these pictures but I put my layout together for the entire week and thought I would share. Lauren loved the entire week of Dr. Seuss. The school ended the week with a movie night. The kids got to wear their PJ's and bring sleeping bags to watch Horton Hears a Who. The PTO provided popcorn and drinks. The kids loved it. So much fun.

Crazy Hat Day

As promised here is today's crazy hat. My mom made this for Aaron many years ago, and Lauren thought it would be just the thing for crazy hat day.

Wacky Wednesday

Today was wacky Wednesday and the kids got to do wacky hair. Lauren wanted her's to look like Alyssa's did. We took a few pipe cleaners from her and then just used out imagination. She loved it and that's what counts. Stay tuned tomorrow is crazy hat day.

Dr. Seuss Day 1 and 2

This week is Dr. Seuss week at Lauren's school (and lots of others). Today was crazy sock day. Lauren wore two different socks of mine and one sock of hers. She thought she looked very silly.

yesterday was crazy shoe day. The one challenge was she still needed to be able to walk. She is loving this week.

tomorrow is Wacky Wednesday so we will be doing wacky hair. Thanks to Cheryl I have some ideas. I went to the eye doctor today to check on my eyes and have been given the go ahead to wear my contacts on a limited basis for the next month. Still no nights and weekends but at least I won't have to work out blind anymore. I've learned my lesson.
