Random Stuff

I haven't posted since Monday but we didn't really have anything going on all week until Friday. Friday was Spirit Day at school. I had Amanda that morning so I got the girls looking all cute and needed to take some pictures. For my blog I have blurred their shirts so it isn't public knowledge about their school.

Cheryl, Lonnie and girls came up Friday night to spend the weekend. After dinner it was playtime with Papa. The girls were playing with their Lincoln Logs while Colin was attacking Papa but soon after I took these pictures they all moved to Grandma and Papa's room so they could jump on the bed and wrestle on softer ground. They were all very sweaty but very happy. Thanks Papa.

Lauren headed out to my parents this morning to have some cousin time and Aaron was at work so it was just Colin and I. He was open to have his picture taken so I took as many as he would allow. He doesn't often cooperate so I must seize the moment.

Today was the day to change Lauren's earrings. We had been talking about it all we and she was very excited. As soon as she woke up she brought me the earring. She had decided on her new ladybug earrings. She loves her new earrings.

These pictures are actually from last year but I really liked how the layout turned out so I thought I would share.

Amazing how much I can get done by using templates and having a few hours with only one child and a clean house. Yeah for digital.

Big Machines

We went to our local logging conference on Saturday and had a great time. The weather was cold but dry so we were able to enjoy all the big machines. My kids both had a wonderful time and are looking forward to next year.

"100 Day" and Sun

Friday was Lauren's 100th day of school, if you count the snow days. Lauren informed me that her teacher came in on the snow days and turned the number. I just smiled to myself. It was SO beautiful on Friday that we had to get outside. I had some tulips to move and some bulbs from father-in-law to plant. Lauren planted the new bulbs while I moved the old. I'm glad we were able to enjoy the sun because the rain is coming.

We went to the logging conference today (pictures coming) and then came home for lunch and some quiet time. Colin wasn't into napping today so we just played. Lauren needed to sell some more Girl Scout cookies so we headed out to the neighborhood while Colin watched a movie with Dad. Aaron said he put Colin down to watch the movie and was doing something for a few minutes and came back to find him like this.

I guess he was tired. Then Daddy had to try to wake him up.

Friends

I thought it was quite cute that Lauren and Amanda had the same sweater on and I did their hair the same. They have a very love, hate relationship but today was all love. They are so sweet when they are getting along. (no, Amanda is not standing on anything). It is so great to have such good friends so close.

Park Time

Aaron had yesterday off so before dinner we headed to our local park. I thought it was warmer outside but it was COLD. We played for a bit and then headed back home. In case anyone is wondering why I have my glasses on. I hurt my eye and now have callouses on the inner lids and can't wear my contacts for at least 2 weeks. I haven't worn glasses on a daily basis since I was in the eighth grade. I don't mind my glasses I just prefer my contacts.

Today is my friend Jen's birthday. Happy Birthday Jen!!!

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful day. Aaron has been gone all week but came home late last night (I guess it was technically today). That was the best present but he had also sent me tulips on Wednesday. Hope everyone was able to enjoy the day with someone they love.

Car Wash

After Colin's eye appointment (he's doing great. no changes) we headed to the car wash. My van was so dirty I didn't even care that there is rain in the forecast. Colin loves to go through the car wash. The only bummer was Lauren was at school so she missed all the fun.
