Swimming Lessons

Lauren and our friends daughter Amanda started swimming lessons today. We are taking them at our local health club because we are already there and can leave the boys in child care. This was not the first lesson for Lauren but it had been almost a year. Their new teacher, Tasha, is great. She is a mommy of 2 small children and this makes a huge difference.

Lauren is great a doing her bobs. She loves to practice in the hot tub. She did great today.

Amanda practicing floating. Putting her face in the water was not her favorite part.

Lauren was a little cautious about jumping in but did great.

Tasha started the lesson by the girls counting to see how long she could hold her breath and if they could also do it that long then they got a pink sparkly sticker. Tasha held it for 7 seconds and each of the girls did it also. This was a big motivational tool. She is a smart teacher. Lauren loved her sticker and is looking forward to lessons on Thursday.

Looks like lots of fun! Be thankful that with this weather you have an indoor pool. ;)
